Why LIT SOUL?
LIT SOUL is the name of the art in many forms with the main focus on the music and the band. Rob Chevelle, is the main creator and artist. LIT SOUL was started by Rob around 2001. There is a wide range of music from hard rock, acoustic, poetry, space, blues, up beat, very moody and beautiful slow melodic songs. All songs, lyrics, art work and direction are original by Rob. Rob Chevelle is on facebook and LIT SOUL is also on myspace.
Lit Soul means any person who makes a difference for the better as best as he or she can in life. One who leaves something better then it was. One who has honor. One who looks for and uses real solutions. One who disagrees with the agenda of indoctrination, molding and imprisonment of our society and the lies.
The picture on one of the music CDs is Roger II, The Norman and symbolizes the term Lit Soul in several ways. He was crowned King of Southern Italy in 1130 A.D.
He brought an army and medicine to a very deteriorated society that was stuck in the dark ages. He helped create a society where your God, Language and Race took a back seat to whether or not you could get the job done.
I don’t think he went down in history very big as unfortunately most historians glorify the “leaders” who killed the most number of people and caused the most degradation and sorrow.

“I write poetry. I think poetry is cool when it is good. It paints pictures in the mind and maybe opens some doors. I’m a writer. I’m a stumbling humanitarian and I’m concerned about planet earth. I think something can be done about certain bad conditions and I don’t buy into the apathetic view of ‘it’s all meant to be.’
“I sing, write music and play several instruments.I think music is an awesome experience and creates moods that can tame the wild beast or get him/her really going.
“I’m a photographer and enjoy aesthetic moments in time. I dabble in painting and wish I were better and took more time at it.

LIT SOUL is a Rock band that advocates Liberty in the modern age.
Rob Chevelle is the lead singer, rhythm guitar player, the pirate poet, the stumbling humanitarian and the main song writer thus far.
Lit Soul has recently reformed a brand new line-up that will make its mark in 2012. Mark II that is. Rob Chevelle, creator and founder of Lit Soul, has joined forces with Joe Dagilus, Brian Sowers and Joey Petro. He is excited to take his band to the next level, and be part of a band that ‘plays and parties together.’
